We met on Monday, November 11th, for our monthly meeting. Throughout the year, we are showcasing some of the things we do. Hopefully you had a chance to see our Thanksgiving meal display.
With the season of Advent upon us, we will once again sponsor the Angel Tree. Our tree will be set up in the narthex and we will be collecting Walmart, Kroger, Publix and VISA/MC gift cards. To participate, simply choose a tag from the tree and return it with your gift by December 15th. You can also contribute by putting a monetary donation in the mailbox by the Angel Tree. Make checks payable to “Women of Grace.”
Quilting News – On November 1st, 40 large quilts were delivered to the annual CARE-VAN. These quilts will go to Lutheran World Relief for distribution around the world. This year the distribution expanded to reach our neighbors in the US. Many quilts were sent to areas affected by Hurricane Helene and Milton. Also, this month, we delivered 10 baby quilts to Isaiah 117 and 25 youth quilts to Youth Villages, both local homes for children removed from their homes awaiting foster care placement.
Quilts are tangible reminders to people around the world that we care! We appreciate everyone who has donated materials over the years to allow us to continue making quilts. Also, a huge “thank you” to all the quilters who helped put the quilts together.
